Olympic fencing champion Olga Harlan has put up for auction her unique Barbie doll, which has no analogues in the world
Olympic fencing champion Olga Harlan has put up for auction her Barbie miniature doll made by Mattel in her honor in 2020.
The exclusive Barbie doll is up for grabs at a charity auction on the eBay platform that will last until August 30. The starting price is $10,000. All the funds raised from the auction will be used to rehabilitate Ukrainian soldiers who suffered as a result of the war at the Bodro clinic.
We remind you that Olga Harlan became the first Ukrainian woman to have a Barbie doll created in her honor. The company decided to honor outstanding female athletes by releasing a series of dolls to serve as role models for girls around the world.
In addition to Harlan, the prototypes for Barbie were taken from prominent athletes: Dinah Asher-Smith, the fastest runner in Great Britain, Amandine Henri, captain of the French women's national football team, Malaika Mihambo, world long jump champion, Anat Lelior, professional surfer, Sume Boyaji, parachute champion, Ayrine Palshite, European high jump champion, and Teresa Bonvalo, European junior surfing champion.
