Do cell phones increase the risk of brain cancer?
European scientists conducted a large study called MOBI-KIDS to investigate how the use of wireless communication devices affects the risk of developing brain tumors in children and adults.
The MOBI-KIDS study was conducted in 14 countries around the world from 2010 to 2015. It involved 898 patients aged 10 to 24 who had been diagnosed with brain tumors, as well as 1912 people who were part of the control group.
Participants in the study filled out questionnaires in which they noted the frequency and duration of use of various wireless devices, as reported by lady.kyiv.ua.
After analyzing all the collected data, scientists stated that the use of mobile and wireless landline phones in young people is not associated with an increased risk of developing brain tumors.
