Ukrainian Paralympians were banned from wearing uniforms with a map of Ukraine in 1991

For more than two months, the International Paralympic Committee has refused to approve the uniform of the Ukrainian Paralympic team for the 2024 Games in Paris. This was stated by Valeriy Sushkevych, president of the National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine and chairman of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities. According to him, IPC officials argued that the refusal was due to the fact that the Ukrainian uniforms were "made too political."
