US launches campaign calling on Trump supporters to support Ukraine
Defending Democracy Together has launched a two million dollar campaign to encourage Republicans to support Ukraine. The campaign will include broadcasting videos of Republican voters calling on the U.S. Congress and Senate to support Ukraine.
"Too many party leaders seem to think they can speak out against Ukrainian democracy and the U.S. role in supporting the fight for freedom with impunity," said Gunner Ramer, a spokesman for the organization.
Defending Democracy Together is a group that unites conservatives and Republicans who always support democracy. The organization previously opposed former US President Donald Trump.
Trump has previously said that Europe is doing "very little" for Ukraine compared to the United States, and believes that Europe should pay as much as the United States or even more. Trump has also said that if re-elected, he will demand that Europe reimburse him for weapons sent to Ukraine.
It is worth noting that former US President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who are considered the main contenders for the 2024 presidential election from the Republican Party, have opposed the transfer of cluster munitions to Ukraine.
