All about the brutal attack on Okhmatdyt in Kyiv
On the morning of July 8, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Kyiv. The debris of the enemy targets fell in several districts of the capital, causing destruction. One of the buildings of the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital was also heavily damaged.
After the attack, rescuers and ordinary Kyiv residents began to clear the rubble near the medical facility. According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, there are people under the rubble, but the exact number of dead and injured is not yet known.
"Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv. One of the most important children's hospitals not only in Ukraine but also in Europe. "Okhmatdyt has saved and restored health to thousands of children," the Head of State emphasized.
"Russia cannot help but know where its missiles are flying and must fully answer for all its crimes: against people, against children, against humanity in general. It is very important that the world does not remain silent about this now and that everyone sees what Russia is, what it is doing," Zelensky said.
According to doctors, there could have been 20 children in the hospital at the time of the missile strike.
"How many children? Well, there were probably 20. There were two departments for the staff," the Okhmatdyt doctor said.
