Ukraine's installation made entirely of war artifacts appears at Burning Man
This year, the legendary Burning Man festival, which takes place annually in Nevada, USA, features an unusual installation from Ukraine.
It was created by artist Oleksiy Say and Ukrainian Witness founder Vitaliy Deinega. They were inspired by the ironic I'm Fine meme and created something similar from war artifacts.
In particular, the artists laid out the phrase I'm Fine using shot street signs, solar panels, satellite dishes, destroyed city name signs, and broken fences. All these things were brought from the de-occupied territories. Now they form an installation that will demonstrate Russia's crimes against civilians to the world, Ukrainian Witness writes.
In general, this year's installation is quite large. It is 32 meters long, 7 meters high and weighs more than 10 tons. Thanks to its scale, the festival attendees will be able to feel how many human stories are behind these signs and how many troubles Russia has brought to Ukrainian lands.
Last year, a special Ukrainian coat of arms was presented at Burning Man, which was burned at the end of the festival. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba explained the symbolism of this ritual.
