We are seeking ten (10) Limited Duration Family Coaches to join our Portland Refugee Unit within Self Sufficiency.
Family Coaches work closely with Oregon families and work is based in the East County Family Services Center; however, family coaches travel throughout the Portland Metro area to meet with their families. These positions are not remote.
These positions are Limited Duration with an end date one year after the hire date. Limited Duration positions include health benefits, leave accrual, and are represented by a union.
We will be hosting an informational session explaining the role and duties of these positions including what limited duration is and ODHS benefits.
What you need to qualify:
- A Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field; OR
- A Bachelor's degree in any field and one year of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing); OR
- An Associate degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science or a closely related field AND two years of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing); OR
- Three years of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing).
