Embark on a Cinematic Journey for a Cause!
On February 22nd 2024 Leleka Foundation and Pomegranate Studios will host a commemorative red-carpet event to benefit Ukraine at the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
This event will commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Russian war against Ukraine and two years of full-scale invasion.
The highlight of the evening will be the screening of the critically acclaimed and 96th Academy Award-longlisted feature documentary, A RISING FURY followed by a Q&A panel with special guests and a reception.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion at 15:30:
WOMEN FILMMAKERS IN WARTIME.
Moderator: journalist Zoryana Kit.
Participants: Polina German, Ukrainian producer and founder of UP UA Studio, director Lesya Kalynska (A RISING FURY) and Roxy Toporovich (JULIA BLUE).
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion at 19:00:

Co-moderators: Ian Masters (radio host and journalist) and Suk-Young Kim (professor and author at UCLA)
Among the participants: 3-time Oscar winner Mark Jonathan Harris (TURNING POINT), director Lesya Kalynska (FEAR LIGHT), producer T.J. Collins (FEAR LIGHT), and Roxy Toporovich (JULIA BLUE).
Proceeds will go to the non-profit Leleka Foundation, that provides emergency medical aid in Ukraine.

ABOUT THE FILM
A RISING FURY follows two hopeful Ukrainian idealists from the peaceful protest in Kyiv in 2013 to the full-scale Russian invasion to Ukraine in 2022. Pavlo and Svitlana met and fell in love at the Revolution of Dignity and were filmed for nearly 10 years with several expeditions to the frontlines of the war.
